This is a special episode for us. This is our co-host Austyn’s last episode as he leaves for basic training for the Air Force next week. Other than our regular Quick Hits, a lot on Gamecock position updates for the start of the season, real football for the NCAA and the NFL are back this week, with other rumors, stories, and quips from us like you’re used to.

The Soda City Sitdown is a passion project / sports podcast started with 4 friends of mine, where we discuss local sports and news to Columbia, South Carolina and beyond. Something started to keep us busy and pursue a dream, has become a legitimate creative outlet for us, allowing a platform for our voices in the sports world, as well as a space for me to experiment creatively and refine my skills on software and techniques that usually don’t apply to industrial design. Our brand and reach has grown beyond what we could have imagined, and it has allowed us to treat our little podcast as a serious contender in sports entertainment for the city of columbia, and take a real business approach to how we conduct ourselves and where we grow from here.
