One of my most cherished hobbies will always be making and designing my own Nerf Blasters. This hobby directly influenced my direction as an industrial designer and where my heart lied in my future career. At the age of 13, I began to take apart my Nerf Blasters to understand how they operated and how they could be improved, the early stages of the design process. Since that point I’ve modified countless Nerf Blasters, built and designed a handful of homemade blasters. Keeping up with this hobby now as a designer allows me to utilize my skills outside of class or client work, and reminds me why creating things is so much fun.
